What a wonderful day’s sailing we had! Thank you all very much for coming and for bringing such an impressive range of boats from sailing to fishing, tugs, lifeboats warships and even a steam paddle steamer. I think a special thank you goes to Dean and Alan who allowed children to run some of their boats. These kids will remember the day for a long time and possibly join our ranks one day. We were all dismayed that Cliff’s boats suffered greatly when someone collapsed his table and we trust the damaged craft can be fairly easily restored. After an impressive collision my MTB turned turtle but fortunately was rescued in time to avert damage to boat or electronics. All good fun for the viewers I suspect! And Neil’s rescue boat was in regular demand; thanks Neil. The mill team – Chairman and organiser – were effusive in their thanks and have invited us to go back and sail there again.
Of course Saxon Boats used to sail there during the week but this has lapsed with the demise of Saxon Boats. Perhaps our committee might like to consider occasional private sailings there?
I have plenty of photos which I will sort and send the best to you. Might also be put onto the website. I also suggest a short news item for Model Boats magazine?

Another successful and well attended barbecue. Many thanks to Cliff and carol for all their hard work.
Sorry, I was too busy talking boats to take any pictures!
We put on another splendid show at Elmswell this year. We filled half of the main hall (height was not an issue for the yachts!). Lots of interest shown, especially in Brian’s static steam turbine which has now been fitted to his boat! Present were Dennis, Brian, Alan P, Alan T, Neil, Keith, Cliff and Dean.
What a fantastic event! Many planes (real and model) in action, rockets, cars and of course, our boats. We had a great deal of interest and I believe we’ve gained a couple of new members too! Present were Dennis, Neil, Keith, Alan and Cliff.
Please can someone who attended send me a write-
Another very well attended Night Float with some 20 boats on the water at one point!
Fearless looked stunning with her new lights.
Velsheda arrived at the party late but looked pretty impressive (if I may say so myself!).
