Ken was reading an old seamanship manual and found a reference to the WHALE Boat used by the Navy and other organisations for sail training.This brought back memories of time in the Sea Scouts so he decided to build a model of this.

His Son obtained a copy of the plans from the British Museum. He also presented him with a bundle of wood strips.

The boat is 27” by 6” and the following photos show the excellent job Ken has made
